DANCE CAMP 2027 · 6–7 MARCH

YOUR QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED.

Plan your weekend with Jordan & Tatiana. Find your level, understand registration and payment, and know what to expect when you arrive.

Levels & Classes

Find the sessions that fit your experience and what you want to work on.

Am I ready to learn from Jordan & Tatiana?

Yes—there is a workshop for newer dancers too. Connection and Fundamentals welcomes dancers who are comfortable with the basic WCS patterns. You do not need competition experience for this workshop. See the level guide below and choose sessions that match your experience.

I don’t dance with WCS Malaysia. How do I know my level?

Dancers from every community are welcome. Here’s how our workshop entry requirements translate:

Connection and Fundamentals — Level 1A and above: Open to dancers at any level who are comfortable dancing basic WCS patterns: Left Side Pass, Under Arm Turn, Tuck Turn, Whip, Inside Turn, Outside Turn and Starter Step.

Dancing to Blues — Level 3B and above: As a guide, this is equivalent to around 12 months of continuous, structured West Coast Swing classes in your home community. Class names and progression vary between schools, so contact us if you are unsure.

Elements of Partnership and the Sunday Intensive — WSDC Intermediate and above: This refers to your WSDC competition level. You need a WSDC number and must be eligible to compete in Intermediate or a higher division in the role you are registering for. You can check your record in the WSDC Points Registry.

Local WCS teachers: If you teach in your home community, please contact us to confirm your level and eligibility before registering.

Is the Fundamentals workshop useful for experienced dancers?

Absolutely. As your dancing develops, you can recognise and work on finer details in the same basics. Frame, timing and stretch influence every dance—from a simple pass to more complex movement.

Revisiting them in person with Jordan & Tatiana is a chance to examine habits that have become automatic, notice subtleties you may have missed earlier and refine how clearly and comfortably you communicate with a partner.

Bring familiar patterns and a fresh set of questions. Connection and Fundamentals welcomes all eligible levels, including experienced social and competitive dancers.

What makes the Sunday Intensive different from the workshops?

Saturday’s 90-minute workshops each explore a specific topic. The Sunday Intensive gives you an extended afternoon with Jordan & Tatiana for more focused, in-depth work on your dancing.

That extra time creates room to unpack the detail, work with the ideas and connect them to how you dance. The aim is to leave with a deeper understanding of the teaching and clearer priorities to take into your own practice.

Choose the workshops for the topics you want to explore; choose the intensive when you want to commit an afternoon to focused development alongside dancers who meet the same entry requirements.

Sunday, 7 March · 2:00–6:30pm. For WSDC Intermediate dancers and above in the role booked, and local teachers whose eligibility has been confirmed by the organisers. The intensive is booked separately from all workshop packages.

Does my WSDC eligibility need to match the role I book?

Yes. For sessions requiring WSDC Intermediate or above, you must qualify in the role you register for. For example, being eligible for Intermediate as a follower does not automatically qualify you to attend as a leader.

Please provide your WSDC number. If you are a local teacher or need an eligibility exception, contact us before registering or paying.

What if I do not meet a session’s eligibility?

Contact the organisers to request an exception. You will only be asked to pay after approval, subject to a place being available.

Registration & Payment

Registration opens on 11 November 2026 at 11:11pm Malaysia time (MYT, UTC+8). Use the information below to plan your booking, and wait until registration opens before making payment.

When does registration open?

Registration for the Saturday workshops and Sunday intensive opens on 11 November 2026 at 11:11pm Malaysia time (MYT, UTC+8). Registration is not open yet. Come back to the event homepage when registration opens.

Can I attend just one workshop or only the Sunday Intensive?

Yes. Once registration opens, you can book one workshop, any two eligible workshops, all three eligible workshops, or the Sunday Intensive on its own. Choose the sessions that suit your level and availability.

The intensive is priced separately from the Saturday workshop packages. Any workshop or intensive booking includes both the Saturday and Sunday socials.

How does the two-workshop package work?

You can choose any two workshops you are eligible for. The Sunday intensive is separate from all workshop packages.

Can I choose different dance roles?

Choose one role, leader or follower, for the whole weekend. Each workshop and the intensive has a maximum of 30 leaders and 30 followers.

When is my registration confirmed?

Once registration opens, complete the registration form and attach your proof of payment. Our team will review your submission and verify your payment.

Your place is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email from our team. Submitting the form or making a payment alone does not complete confirmation. Please check that your email address is correct and look in your spam or junk folder if needed.

I’m travelling from overseas and don’t have a Malaysian bank account. How can I pay?

Once registration opens, we suggest using the Wise app or website to send your payment in Malaysian ringgit (MYR) to the bank account listed in our registration form. Follow the form’s payment instructions and check Wise’s exchange rate, transfer fees and estimated arrival time before confirming. Wait until the transfer is complete, then attach proof of payment to your registration form.

Wise’s availability depends on where you are based; it currently does not support customers based in Russia. Check Wise’s current availability.

If Wise is unavailable where you live, or you have trouble making the transfer, please contact us or WhatsApp +60 11-1102 3340 so we can advise on the available options.

Are there any booking or payment fees?

All event prices include 8% SST. We do not add booking or payment-processing fees. Wise or your bank may charge separately for transfers or currency conversion; review those charges and the MYR amount the recipient receives before paying.

Should I wait for my Wise transfer to clear before submitting the form?

Yes. Wait for your payment to clear and your Wise transfer to show as completed, then attach the completed transfer receipt or proof of payment to your registration form.

Wise transfers can be quick, but they are not always instant. Check the estimated arrival time shown for your transfer. If it is delayed, contact us. Your place is confirmed by our team’s email after we have reviewed your form and payment.

Can I add workshops or upgrade my booking later?

Yes, subject to eligibility and availability in your chosen role. Please contact us to arrange your upgrade and any additional payment.

Our team will confirm the available places and the amount to pay before you make the extra payment.

What happens when my role is full?

There will be a waitlist for each session and role. The organisers will contact you if a place opens. Joining a waitlist does not confirm a booking.

Can I cancel or transfer my booking?

Bookings are non-refundable. Transfers require organiser approval.

Can I register for someone else?

One dancer per registration. Each dancer declares their own level and chooses one role for the weekend.

Your Weekend

Joining solo, social dancing and making the most of your time in class.

Do I need to bring a partner?

No partner needed—you’re welcome to join solo. Register as an individual and choose either leader or follower as your role for the weekend.

Are the socials included?

Yes. Any workshop or intensive booking includes both the Saturday and Sunday socials. Social-only passes are not currently available.

Can I record the classes?

Please do not record during the teaching or practice portions of the session. Keep your attention on the teaching, your partner and your own dancing, and respect Jordan & Tatiana’s work.

There will be a recap at the end of class. Please follow Jordan & Tatiana’s guidance on whether and when you may record it.

Mark your calendar.
